FAQ
Peopling is a set of learning experiences designed to help adults better understand and support neurodivergent young people.
We work with educators, paraeducators, administrators, counselors, therapists, and families to strengthen how adults show up in relationship, communication, and support—so that students can learn, grow, and feel understood.
What is Peopling?
Who is Peopling for?
Peopling is designed for the full network of adults who support young people:
Teachers and instructional staff
Paraeducators and support staff
School and district leaders
Counselors, therapists, and specialists
Parents and caregivers
While many programs focus on isolated roles, Peopling helps create a shared understanding across roles so that students experience consistency and coherence in their support.
What makes Peopling different from other professional learning?
Peopling focuses on how adults think, relate, and respond—not just what they do.
Our courses move beyond strategies alone and help educators and caregivers:
Understand the lived experience of neurodivergence
Recognize hidden demands in learning environments
Strengthen relationships as a foundation for growth
Support executive functioning in real-world contexts
This work complements frameworks like PBIS, MTSS, and SEL by strengthening the relational conditions those systems depend on. If you are finding those progress have not been effective, it often is contributed to the lack of a foundational relationship with others but also oneself.
How is Peopling used in schools and organizations?
Peopling can be used in flexible ways depending on your setting:
Individual professional learning for educators
School or district-wide initiatives
Team-based learning (PLCs, departments, student support teams)
Cross-role alignment (educators, specialists, and families)
Each course includes practical reflection and application so that learning translates into day-to-day interactions with students.
Each Peopling course is a short, interactive learning experience (about one hour) designed for busy professionals.
Courses include:
Video-based learning
Reflection prompts
Real-world classroom and home applications
Interactive activities
Optional guides for deeper team or individual use
They can be completed independently or used as part of a larger professional learning effort.
What does a course look like?
Yes. Peopling includes parallel learning experiences for parents and caregivers. And parents and caregivers can take the courses on their own, outside of being connected to a school.
These are designed to:
Build shared language with schools and professionals
Support communication and relationships at home
Extend learning beyond the classroom
Some schools and organizations choose to offer both educator and parent access to create a more aligned support system.
Do you offer support for families?
Is this only for neurodivergent students?
Peopling centers neurodivergent learners, but the practices benefit all students.
When adults better understand variability in attention, processing, communication, and executive functioning, they create environments that are more responsive, inclusive, and effective for everyone.
You can explore courses individually or bring Peopling into your school or organization.
We offer options for:
Individual enrollment
School and district partnerships
Integrated use with existing professional learning structures
How do we get started?
No, Peopling is not therapy. It’s not a replacement for clinical care or a treatment plan. We offer parenting support, expert-informed tools, and real-world guidance to help you grow your capacity and connection as a parent.
Is this therapy?
You can engage at your own pace. Micro-courses take approximately 30 minutes. Reflection prompts are 5–10 minutes a day. If you have a membership, live sessions are offered weekly, and last for 60 minutes. You can come to all, some, or just what fits.
How much time does it take?
Peopling is designed for real life. We don’t just give you more information, we help you turn insight into action. We support you emotionally and practically. And we do it in community, so you don’t feel like you’re teaching or parenting in a silo. We also listen to our community for prioritizing new content and emerging new topics to address.
What makes Peopling unique?
Yes. We offer a sample micro-course, free resources, and our parenting philosophies. Click the image to view the sample micro-course, Inner World of Neurodivergence.
Can I try before committing?
Yes. Our platform is secure, and our community is private. We don’t sell your data, and we intentionally keep the space safe, moderated, and supportive.
Is it private?
Yes! We welcome co-parents, partners, and supportive caregivers to join together or separately.
Can both parents join?
Do you offer support for professionals, schools, or groups?
Yes! We partner with therapists, educators, parent support groups and organizations to offer group access, custom workshops, and professional bundles. [Contact us] to learn more.
Can you support a group of parents we already serve?
Yes! We offer tailored support for in-tact groups—such as school communities, affinity groups, or teams of parents already connected. We can create private cohorts with customized content, facilitation, and shared learning experiences.
No, showing up on camera is optional. You’re always welcome to keep your video off if that feels more comfortable. That said, when you're able, being visible can help strengthen connection and build community.
